COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE GEORGIA KNIGHTS 24 – LINDSEY WILSON 21

The Community Christian College Georgia Knights opened their season with a statement, going on the road and earning a hard-fought 24-21 victory over Lindsey Wilson.

The Knights showed toughness, resilience, and the ability to make plays in all three phases of the game. CCC Georgia's offense was led by quarterback Elija Burrell, who delivered an impressive performance through the air, finishing the game with 275 passing yards and 1 touchdown.

The Knights also received a major spark from Robert Richardson, who made his presence felt on special teams with both a kick return and a punt return, providing CCC Georgia with explosive plays and valuable field position throughout the game.

Defensively, the Knights were anchored by defensive tackle JT Thompson, whose physical presence and leadership helped set the tone for the CCC Georgia defense. Thompson and the Knights' defensive unit battled for four quarters and came up with the stops needed to secure the victory.

With the win over Lindsey Wilson behind them, the Knights know there is no time to celebrate for long.

The road continues.

CCC Georgia will head back on the road in Week 2 for another major challenge as the Knights travel to face No. 4 ranked NJCAA Division III Louisburg.

The matchup is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 AM.

The Knights proved they can compete when the lights are on. Now, they face another opportunity to make a statement against one of the top programs in the country.
