Knights Finish Camp Strong Despite Early Challenges

Georgia Knights Training Camp Wraps Up with Eyes on the Season Opener

Snellville, GA – The Community Christian College Georgia (CCC Georgia) Knights have officially wrapped up an intense and demanding 2026 preseason training camp. Over the past several weeks, players have been tested physically and mentally as they prepared for another challenging season. Despite the heat, long practices, and adversity, the Knights continued to build a foundation centered on discipline, toughness, and accountability.

One of the biggest storylines of camp has been the emergence of the team's freshman class. A handful of injuries to veteran players created opportunities much earlier than expected, forcing several freshmen into significant roles. Rather than backing down from the challenge, the young Knights embraced the opportunity and have shown they are ready to compete at the college level.

At the same time, the returning players have demonstrated tremendous growth from a year ago. Their leadership, work ethic, and understanding of the program's expectations have helped establish the standard for the younger players and have been instrumental in the team's development throughout camp.

Head Coach Cedric Roach believes the team has made significant progress while recognizing there is still work to be done before kickoff.

"Training camp is designed to challenge every player, and this group answered that challenge. We had to overcome some injuries that forced our freshmen into game-like situations earlier than we expected, but they've responded with confidence and a willingness to learn. That's a credit to our coaching staff and our veteran players, who have done an outstanding job leading by example.

I'm especially proud of how our returning players have matured since last season. They've raised the standard in practice, held each other accountable, and shown the leadership this program needs. Camp is about building a football team, and I believe we've taken a major step forward.

Now it's time to shift our focus. Training camp is over, and our attention turns completely to preparing for our first game. Every practice from this point forward has one purpose—to be ready when we take the field. We're excited about where this team is headed and can't wait to see these young men compete."

With training camp complete, the Knights will transition into game-week preparation as they finalize special teams assignments, refine their game plan, and continue building chemistry heading into the season opener.

The 2026 Georgia Knights are eager to put their hard work on display and begin the next chapter of the season. Coaches and players alike believe the adversity faced during camp has strengthened the team and prepared them for the challenges ahead.

The standard remains the standard, and the Knights are ready for kickoff.
