CCC Georgia Knights Travel to Lindsey Wilson for Season Opener
Columbia, Kentucky — August 20, 2026
The Community Christian College Georgia Knights are set to hit the road for their first game of the 2026 football
season, traveling to Lindsey Wilson University in Columbia, Kentucky, for a highly anticipated season-opening matchup against the Blue Raiders.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 20.
For the Knights, this game marks the beginning of a new season and the first opportunity to put months of preparation, training and competition into action. After a demanding training camp, CCC Georgia enters the opener with a roster that features a combination of returning players and young athletes who have been pushed into important roles.
Head Coach Cedric Roach and his coaching staff have emphasized preparation, discipline and maintaining the standard throughout camp. With several new faces expected to contribute, the season opener will be an early test of the Knights' depth, toughness and ability to execute when the lights come on.
“We have worked extremely hard to get to this point,” said Head Coach Cedric Roach. “Training camp challenged our players physically and mentally, but our guys continued to fight and maintained the standard. Now it is time to take everything we have learned and put it on the field. Lindsey Wilson is a great opportunity for us, and we are excited to finally play football.”
The Knights will also place a major emphasis on special teams, with players across the roster expected to contribute. The coaching staff has made it clear that every player has a role, and execution in all three phases — offense, defense and special teams — will be critical.
The trip to Lindsey Wilson also provides CCC Georgia with an opportunity to measure itself against quality competition early in the season. The Knights know that the opening game will require focus from the opening whistle through the final play.
The season starts August 20.
