The CCC Georgia Knights showed resilience and heart in Round 1, storming back from a 10-point halftime deficit to defeat SBA, 85–77, and defend their home court.
After a slow start put the Knights in a 10-point hole at the break, the message in the locker room was clear, tighten up defensively and attack with confidence. CCC Knights responded with a dominant second half, shifting the momentum with increased defensive pressure and more efficient scoring in transition.
The Knights chipped away at the lead possession by possession, eventually drawing even midway through the second half before taking control down the stretch. Key stops on defense and timely buckets fueled the run, energizing the home crowd and swinging the game firmly in Georgia’s favor.
Closing the game with poise at the free-throw line and disciplined defense, the Knights completed the comeback to secure the 85–77 victory.
With the win, Georgia advances after an impressive second-half surge that proved their toughness and ability to respond under pressure.
